THE BUXTON MUSEUM, officially opened in 1967, was Raleigh Township's Centennial Project as a memorial to the Elgin Settlement, haven for the fugitives of the American system of slavery in the pre-Civil War years.

All who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will live in the Kingdom of Heaven forever. Some say that they are good. But God says there is none righteous. That is why Jesus came and died for us and rose again out of the grave. All who believe in Him will be saved. If you die in unbelief, you will go to hell forever, my dear brothers and sisters. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world but lose his soul?
