Jon & Adrienne Leedahl had been serving on the mission field in Papua New Guinea when tragedy hit. Accompanied by his wife, Adrienne, Jon Leedahl was rushed on an emergency medevac flight from Papua New Guinea to Australia, facing the amputation of one leg and an arduous painful physical recovery. Early in 2015 he & his family arrived back in the USA for continued rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic Papua New Guinea.

With plans to go back Jon says, "At first when I look at this accident it appears to be evil, not peace! But then I have to remember that the Lord sees the eternal perspective. There is a reason this happened and it has eternal benefits. I may not understand it completely this side of heaven, but I can rest in the fact that the Lord has a plan and a purpose."
