Crossroads Digital Pastor / JUNIOR SMITH

 

Junior Smith loves people. He is a focused and steadfast in his faith and his purpose in God. Smith has embraced a fresh hunger for more of God, which is demonstrated in his writing and ministry. He is not a worship leader or a singer as many would think, but rather he is a worshiper whose desire is for others to join him in worship to God.  

Junior released his debut album "Higher Ground" on June 11, 2017. This deeply intimate worship CD is a reflection of Junior's heart and passion for God. Smith is a multifaceted with varying gifts. He is a writer, singer, playwright, emcee, director, event planner, radio announcer, preacher, teacher, motivational speaker just to name a few.   

Junior has worked as a  high school teacher in Jamaica. He has left an indelible mark on all his students. As an educator he was instrumental in mentoring students, particularly males and was an exemplary role model. Smith is also a former radio announcer who worked at LOVE101FM Jamaica's premier Gospel Radio Station.  Since his arrival in Canada, in 2011 Mr. Smith has been the voice of Reflections and Island Style on JOYRadio  where he has been reaching and uplifting countless individuals through music and words.

He is also a Ministry Care Representative at Crossroads (100 Huntley Street) in Burlington. Junior is a graduate of Tyndale University College and Seminary where he received Bachelors in Religious Education (Distinction). Mr. Smith received his Teacher Education Training at Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts in Kingston, Jamaica. 

Junior desires to keep the name of Jesus at the forefront of his ministry. The message of Christ and authenticity in worship is Junior's goal as he seeks to reach countless others with his ministry. 

Junior is married to Kerry Smith and together they have a beautiful daughter Awrayna. Family is the most important component to Smith's life and the support from his wife and daughter makes ministering to others much easier.
